Who We Are
Hi, I am Tanaya
I started Mithilalitya to satiate my desire to work with Indian artists and to preserve and promote our traditional art forms. I come from an academic background and always had a deep interest in Indian art forms. Looking at the garment industry where fast fashion is becoming the norm, I realized the gap could be addressed! I have spent many years in Bihar and Odisha, learning first-hand about textiles, craftsmanship the two states are blessed with, and art forms that are becoming archaic. I plunged into the opportunity and it’s been about five years now, Mithilalitya has become more than just a passion project to me. About our products
Our products are made with a varioety materials, procured directly from weavers and farmers, and are hand-made by artisans from around the country.
Our products are unique and standalone pieces just like our unique customers, defying the fast fashion norms.
All products can be customized based on the client’s requirements.
